An OECTA Guide: The Roles and Responsibilities of Department Heads helps teachers understand the role of department heads, and guides department heads in navigating between their duties as OECTA members and their obligations under legislation.
It is hoped that this document will help to strengthen professional relationships while clarifying the role of department heads in implementing the Education Act and OECTA collective agreements.
